Johan Booysen personally drove me around to get my medical test and police clearance on 28th September 2000.
My appointment certificate arrived and I was allocated to the Mayville police station in October 2000. Immediately and before I even visited the police station at Mayville, Booysen sent a letter to the Mayville police Station Commissioner, prepared by Booysen’s office and signed by myself explaining my reasons for wanting to join a specialized unit such as the one Booysen commanded.
